Smoking assignment

Hello! I'm doing an interview assignment on smoking for health class, and I was wondering if any current or past smokers could answer any of the questions below. Anything used will be anonymous so no need to worry about that! Thank you :))

1. What age did you start smoking?

2. Why did you start smoking?

3. Have you tried to quit smoking for any period of time? How hard was it to quit?

4. When you haven’t had a cigarette, how do you feel? Emotions, reactions?

5. If someone handed you $19,843.20 what would you do with it? The average cost of a pack of cigarettes in PA is $9.54. If you smoke 2 packs a week for a full year do you know the yearly cost for your habit? $992.16. If you smoke for 20 years you will spend about $19,843.20 on cigarettes. How do you feel about that?

1. I started smoking at 13 years old.
2. I had easy access to multiple packs per week in my Grandparents closet that I would steal, and supply all of my friends at school.
3. I quit when I was 19 when I first realized that I was Schizophrenic by counting to 1000, and having the support of a friend over the phone saying cigarettes are gross and yucky when having a strong craving, it helped. I had quit for 6 months, but started back up again because my fiance continued to smoke and we would go out for a few beers after each baseball game and I felt like having a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other was the way to go!
4. Even as a full grown adult, I've had nic fits where I've beggedand pleaded for a cigarette, the anxiety is unbearable in my chest and mind...Like a little girl I've cried!
5. the average pack of cheap smokes here in Alberta Canada is $17.80! and I smoke a pack a day! I would invest that money into crypto! And save for retirement! It would be a huge relief to have that kind of extra money saved!
