Don’t people have jobs that do random drug tests ? At least if you get injured they must test you. Don’t matter if it’s legal or medicine. You can’t be on drugs. Maybe when they can test it right. It will be different.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Jonjdw it's legal. And no, I am self employed. I'm my own boss.
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@basilfawlty89 you are a different bed talking about real jobs. Where a job owns you
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Jonjdw oh fun. So being a software developer and staring s business from the ground up is now not a "real job"™. You are aware before this I worked for companies, right?
@Jonjdw I'm retired. No one tests me. And I have been honest with my primary care physician concerning it as well.
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@basilfawlty89 you can take offense to what I say if you want. I just know that it does that matter if it’s a medical or legal you can’t have a job at a company and be on marijuana. That is that. you want go there and make it seem I like don’t think it’s a job. Then you do that. Take all the offense you I meant none
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@OldGrandDad of course this is for people who have jobs that require you not to be on drugs.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Jonjdw bruh. I have a friend that's a network engineer at a large gaming company. He's sober as a judge at work. At home he gets blazed. He works full time. Maybe your state is shite?
@Jonjdw That may have been your intention. But that's not what the post says. Sorry to interject.
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@OldGrandDad it says people who have jobs that do random drug test. What more clearer can it be. If you are retired or work for yourself that you are excluded. Or if you work for a place like I used to that don’t require that.
@basilfawlty89 I was an IT tech myself. Before I started my own IT consulting company. Which was also before I became medically social security disabled. Why I started taking the gummies to begin with. Opioids are not always prescribed for pain and Tylenol doesn't cut it.
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@basilfawlty89 every state has some shit in it. Everything is like a Rubiks cube you fix one problem only to create another problem.
@Jonjdw There was a nurse who was suspected doing pot privately. She was protected because she had a medical card. Things have changed.
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@whippersnapper maybe in that case. Maybe where she at. Not everywhere.
Skippyskiptic · 41-45, M
@Jonjdw when I got my current job I asked the company owner where I needed to go to get my drug test, he said "You're a grown man, do what you want as long as it's not on the clock."
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@Skippyskiptic marijuana stays in your system up to 30 days but you are not high for 30 days. I had a job at a auto body shop and they did not care. The warehouse where I work at now does.
Goodluckwiththat · 56-60, M
[@Jonjdw they can determine when you got high, like if you smoked before work, using a swab
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
@Goodluckwiththat it’s not accurate enough from what I seen. And work places still can do what they want like mine. And I don’t miss it anymore. I drink beer
MethDozer · M
@Jonjdw Legal in NYS with a rule that says your employer can't discriminat based on it. Only Federal employees and Federal adjacent employees are oppressed by it still here.
