legal as of today! It's being regulated much the same way as smoking and drinking

@Salix75 You mean an age limit? What about DUI, or GBH under the influence.
How many young ones ignore the limits, and how are they enforced.
Having tried Cannabis, I know what it can do to the mind, albeit temporary.

@Uncfred all of that. Each province is handling it a bit differently. But all have minimum legal ages, restrictions on when, where, and how much can be purchased, carried or used, restrictions on how much can be grown at home, where it can be smoked, etc. There will be randome DUI tests in the same way we have for alcohol.

As for each potential crime done under the influence, I suspect that will flow probably along the lines of how any crime would be viewed where there is alcohol or another drug used (that is, aggravating and mitigating circumstances).

I think the one benefit is, it will end gangs of smugglers and overpricing supply.

@Uncfred and tax revenues, and being able to guarantee product quality and purity, being able to select what you want/need (e.g. choosing a variety with higher amount of CBD so there's less, or no 'high' but still getting benefits like relief from inflamation...)

@Salix75 Sorry, you are now "over my head", I am just a poor Englishman.

@Uncfred sorry :) THC and CBD are two cannabinoids present in marijuana.

THC is the active component in marijuana that gives the psychoactive effect (feeling 'high' or others experience it as a state of relaxation, more social etc), as well as associated physical impairment (effects on focus, reaction times etc.)

CBD doesn't generally produce a high, but may help some people with pain management, or inflammation. Different varieties of marijuana have been tweaked to provide different ratios of THC/CBD, depending on what effect, or purpose, the user is seeking.

@Salix75 So there are possible qualities in the legalisation of the drug, that is good.
Yesterday in the UK a man was killed when confronting drug dealers, something that would not have happened if the dealers had no reason to be dealers, what a crazy mixed up world !!!!
