I Think Marijuana Should Be Legalized

In Oregon, USA
we passed laws 15 years back that let us use [c=#009E4F]cannabi[/c]s for medical purposes. I worked very hard to acquire and delver this to folks suffering from many ailments,, I have seen Remarkable results,, MY own Ex wife is alive when the doctors had written her off

Recently we legalized personal use for anyone,, and you can grow your own.
Pot smokers drive slower than usual are unlikely to get angry with random folks.
the worst thing you might get s hungry oh and there are many ways to use it that do not require you to smoke at all.
So [i]More freedom[/i] right?

From what I have read I think the cannabidiol in marijuana acts as a neuroprotective agent helpful to my epilepsy and now they are saying it may even offer some help to prevent the kind of proteins that develop in Alzheimer. On top of that the strains highest in cannobidiol does not do much good getting you high because THC does that not cannobidiol.

We can't get it in my state, we can't even get the non intoxicating part of the plant and scientist can't even do good research on it because the American War on Drugs makes it so difficult for them to do research.

This is all the fault of the bible thumping republicans who want to maintain the war on drugs that for over 40 years has shown to not work. All it does is drive up the crime rate by creating a black market and the associated criminal enterprise servicing that black market.

We don't have the referendum process SatyrService and if this holds true to other political changes we will be among the last states to change. It comes up every year in the legislature. My seizures stopped when I started smoking pot, I know it is only antecedental but that is still what happened. That however had to stop in order to get a job because of drug testing so it was anti-epileptic drugs for me. That is not a problem but for side effects, I asked my neurologist what the long term effects were if I took them all my life, he said just some minimal brain atrophy over time, I could switch to another one which would probably still work but have different side effects. Why could I not just stick with the natural compound since it seem to work and I would not have the brain atrophy, I am an adult, so is my doctor why can't we decide instead of a legislator with no medical training ? We have enough real criminals to deal with without making new classes of ones by taking away their freedoms. I know all the answers and am just complaining but it is something worth complaining over. People need to change the law.

Yes yes yes .. I've never smoked (or consumed) in my country I get to jail if I smoke it and I'd get 1 year ... but I am for legalizing it for its benefits .. I'd definitely use some to cure my anxiety :D
