I was a black out drunk.

The first time i was 13, and im lucky i lived through it. I don't count the days im sober, but im glad for them. Glad for who I am now. I do like myself overall. I stopped drinking not only because of the hangovers, but my last long stint of drinking and blacking out brought me a lot of bad things. Not knowing how it all came to be because I was blacked out is a haunting thing. Typically I didn't think much about how stupid I got drunk. It never outweighed what drinking did for me until 2022.

That was me when I was about your age. Started drinking at 15. It progressively got worse. Blacking out while driving, waking up next day wondering what I did, last night. I’m so grateful for being sober today. You should be proud!

I never drank to the point of blacking out until I was in grad school...I drink a bit less these days, but still get drunk and high fairly often.

I was much older when I went down that rabbit hole but I definitely feel you on the blacking out thing. I really like being able to cut myself off before I get to drunk now.
