Intoxicated vs. inebriated

I mainly use the latter term without thinking since I’m an alcoholic. But apparently, that’s more accurate for when one is under the influence of alcohol, whereas being intoxicated can refer to being drunk on booze, but it’s more of a broad term that refers to being under the influence of any substance. Using proper terminology without even trying, lol.
