Anyone try Valium?

I've never tried it and a dentist might offer it for a root canal. Can you drive after a few hours on it? I really don't have any ride and need to drive to the appointment. How do you feel while on this? Just really relaxed?

Any nausea or other effects?

It made me feel very relaxed like all the weight and worry on my shoulders melted off.

I had to do that because of anesthesia for my colonoscopy. They would not let me drive after.

So besides I can not afford it, an Uber might not work.

It depends on the dose but you definitely will build up a tolerance if you use it too much. Withdrawal is worse than detoxing from alcohol as well. Proceed with caution.

A small dose just makes you really relaxed ,everyone has different tolerance but a dentist isn't going to give you enough to keep you from driving right after .Tbh valium is really beneficial for things like anxiety I've never had any side effects

@kodiac Ty I appreciate that. I've never taken it even though I have an anxiety disorder. I get nervous about side effects, yet another lovely trait of anxiety itself. You didn't feel lightheaded or nauseous ??
I hope I can drive Bec it's saying online if you take an oral sedation from dentist you'll need a ride home. My mom is dangerous driving, she's manic and a psychopath so I do NOT want to ask her. This whole root canal appointment is a nightmare ughh

@Baybreeze I felt no side effects at all . You will probably feel better than you have because anxiety just fades away i thik doctors should prescribe it more for people

I wouldn't drive on it if you've never had it before. You shouldn't even need it anyway.

Sorta like being drunk but without the warm social glow or nausea. It depends on how much you take, but benzos as a whole sorta feel like a shallow and empty drunk.
