I've been using drugs of one kind or another for many years, but in recent years I've cut down to where I only use cannabis and alcohol. I still get wasted every once in a while, but a lot less frequently than I used to.
@LifeVoice101 I used cocaine many years ago when I was in school, but I eventually decided to go to law school. I knew that I could lose my license to practice law if I was caught using drugs, which was enough incentive to stop the cocaine use and go to just alcohol. I had also stopped using cannabis until I retired from the practice of law and it became legal in my State. Alcohol has been the tough one for me to kick....I can be sober for months, have a few drinks and then get drunk every day for a couple of weeks. My alcohol and cannabis consumption has been reduced, but the pull is still there and I still drink and use pot.
