Day 4 of quitting smoking...

I am doing so much better today! I currently have strong cravings after lunch, but otherwise today is the first day I no longer feel under constant torture. I was fine playing some games for a couple hours earlier without thinking of cigarettes every 5 minutes, and I think it will only continue this way until I'm no longer distracted on a daily basis. The fact that I can feel okay not smoking for several hours tells me that quitting actually works, the brain actually re-wires, so it's 100% worth doing. Just get through the most difficult days anyway you can, honestly if I was a dude I'd just jerk off for the first 2-3 days to switch my attention to something besides cigarettes lmao. Anyways this is great. I'm gonna walk the scrap now. Walking the dog helps a lot with cravings too, at least it does for me. 🌿

My problem would be that if I was a guy, I would want a cigarette after jerking off too.
Nightwings · F
@Adrift Yes but when you quit you desperately want one every second of the day, so any amount of distraction is welcome. 😆
Well done! Hope the cravings go away soon!
Very brave of you and very good decision.

Also you can jerk off too btw 😅

@greensnacks Thank you so much, I am super happy I did this! And I realize but I was way too angry from withdrawals to even consider that, I think it's a better distraction for guys... and maybe some girls, depends on the person really I guess. 😆

Well done it does get easier i quit 5 years ago now at 4 or 5 weeks i nearly gave in but so pleased i didnt
Nightwings · F
@notsure Wow how come you almost smoked again 4-5 weeks into quitting? I feel like it's manageable now (day 5), I still want to smoke from time to time but it's not that crazy feeling I had non-stop the first 3 days anymore. I read somewhere that it especially gets easier after 2 months, when do you think it did for you? I smoked for 21 years, and I was a chain-smoker for most of those.
