If you smoked before how did you give up?

LilymoonF
I cut back and then eventually quit. It wasn't that hard tbh.

I put myself on a farm tractor for 3 days and wouldn't let myself off to go get some smokes. Once the physical craving was over the psychological one was easy. 6 months later I had no desire to smoke.

I cut it cold turkey. It took about a year before I started hating the smell of burning tobacco.

2 and a half packs lucky strikes a day kept me coughing constantly. about 25 years ago i thought this aint good time to stop and that was it.i guess i was lucky.i even lost my smokers cough.just make up your mind and every time you want to have one think about what it must be like to get lung cancer. GOOD LUCK

I smoke weed still but I quit cigarettes years ago. It started giving me a headache a bit & I already had a habit with weed & alcohol. So I just stopped pretty easily because I didn't need that extra habit 馃槀

Switched to vaping. Cheaper and not nearly as bad for you. Still get nicotine so that's a bonus

A local had started a stop smoking clinic. I went and haven鈥檛 smoked since 2004.
Weaned off gradually
Persistence

By switching to vaping. I'm still using nicotine, but it's harm reduction. I used to smoke two packs a day.
