I wasn't aware that bath robes were a specialty item, I thought they were an everyday thing.

So I need a new bath robe. I've looked on Amazon but will get back to that in a little bit. I was out and about today, got my taxes done, went over to walmart. On my phone it says they have bath robes. They have no bath robes in store. So went over to Kohl's. The girl helping me says "well, we're switching over to our spring/summer stuff" and I thought, yea... but.... aren't bath robes an everyday item that gets used??

So she suggested TJ Maxx and Burlington. Go over to Burlington, nothing. Over to TJ Maxx, the guy there tells me, "yea we only really get those in at Christmas time" and I'm like, wait, like, I use my bath robe all the time. So basically after they suggested all the stores I had already went to, and after they suggested Amazon, I went to the walmart on the other side of town. No bath robes.

So back to Amazon, I told the guy at TJ Maxx that basically all I ever see are 5 star reviews and then boom, 1 star, 1 star, 1 star, and they're all like, washed bath robe, now pockets are still pushing out lint 7 months later. So now it's like, ugh, do I wait to find it at a store, or do I get it online? Because then I'll see reviews like, bought this for husband but arms too short and bought the largest they had. And I'm sitting here scratching my head thinking, what the hell???

But the guy at TJ Maxx said to try and look up like well known brand names, and not just a random search for bath robes on Amazon. But are bath robes a specialty item that you can't just go out to a store and buy???
Marshall's is a good place to get one but they're probably sold out by now.
@Spoiledbrat Yea that's what I don't get. Kohl's was "all sold out", TJ Maxx was "well we only get them in at Christmas time", Burlington was "oh they should be over here, had a few laughs but no robes", walmart was a quick and simple, nope. I'd probably have to drive up to the expensive mall that is an hour away, just hoping a store there might have one.

Amazing! They often have them at Costco.

I have no idea. I've never owned a robe. 😬
