Naya just walked in the bathroom, grabbed her toothbrush, & started brushing her teeth on her own 👏

Then she came out to show me she was brushing her teeth. I'm so proud of her 🥹 she didn't put any toothpaste on it but I'm just proud of her trying to do things on her own. She makes being a parent a lot easier.

I figured brushing her teeth while I brushed mine every night would make her get used to the routine. I just didn't expect her to learn so fast. I didn't take care of my teeth as a kid & nobody taught me the importance of it. I even used to avoid smiling because I didn't wanna show my teeth off. Which is a big reason I wanted to teach Naya early. I don't ever want her to be embarrassed to show off her beautiful lil smile

@ChiefJustWalks time to teach a few things;
1. Fall in face forward so that she doesn't hit her head on the side of the pool.
2. How to flip to her back and survival float like a starfish
3. How to dog paddle unassided to the side of the pool.
4. How to pull herself out by doing kind of an army crawl with her elbows unassisted.

We started swimming lessons right at that same age and it was so much fun. Now she's a fish and we can't keep her out of the water.

@Starcrossed good idea, might as well start now. Her big sister has been doing synchronized swimming since she was 2. Her 12th birthday party is at a water park today & we're on our way right now so looks like Naya will be in the water again 🙂

@Lostpoet time flies even more after the kiddos are around 😅 or maybe we just notice it more because they grow so fast. She reached 18 months a few weeks ago so she's already a year & a half

@Degbeme she actually mentioned it first 😅 when I started thinking I was open to another kid someday I didn't say it. One day my lady said "I think I want another kid" & I was like "me too actually 🙂" then she said "just not right now though" & I said "I'm with you on that too" 😂 so we'll see I suppose
