Tooth implants

About 6/8 weeks ago I started the procedure of getting a couple of teeth implants. But ever since that has happened I’ve lost my sense of smell slightly and my right nostril is always blocked. I thought I had a cold and got a blocked nose but that wasn’t the case. It happened ever since I got the implants.

Has this happened to anyone? I’m thinking that when they put the implants in the dentist might have done something to my sinus, am i wrong. Any advice would be great!

Seems like you don't have faith in your dentist. Shit happens. Drilling into your jaw bone (lower implant) or head bone (upper implant) is a big deal. We take modern medicine for granted. Apart from the cost (an implant could cost $3000) there is no guarantee that the implant won't go bad. Infection still can happen.

Sounds like more infection. I have friends that did that procedure and it took months for the healing to be complete. Get some xrays and be sure on the sinus issues too. Good luck with it and OUTCH.

@heavyone2 No flossing? I use the waterpik after the flossing and brushing.

I intend to give back to God what he gave me.

Which teeth were they? Did they do a sinus lift as part of the procedure? Any blood coming out of your nose?

@sree251 nope, How long ago were your implants placed? Any fever or swelling? You had upper teeth done I am assuming.

@TexChik You are asking the wrong guy. I never had an implant.

@sree251 Oops, why would you reply to the question I asked the author of the post? Geeze.
I don’t have implants but they being newly can cause sinus infections.
