Why is it normal to comment on bruises and details of someone else's body?

I also don't get what is gained from that.

I have bruises because I do lot of physical work and my body isn't the best. Not everyone gets to look pretty 24/7.

I think sometimes it’s cause they’re concerned and care . Not necessarily any harm meant by it

@Lonelyandyb I think concern is best expressed as inquiring first and then making suggestions if the person wants them.

It feels invasive and shallow.
