There's no wrong in thinking what you think, it's just whatever works for you and what kind of nature you possess. Everyone will have a different opinion of your statement, some will agree, others will disagree. But, for me, it sounds too clinical, as if real love is a controlled emotion, and relationships are merely transactional. You say, "they don’t warrant that kind of emotional response", which suggests to me that love doesn't come into it. Love is an uncontrolled giddiness triggered by someone new in your life who has a profoundly emotional effect on you against your will. Love is exciting precisely because it's irrational. You say you're not that type of person, which is fine if that's how you view relationships. Me? I embrace that mad, intense kind of emotion a beautiful, funny, exciting woman engenders in me. Losing control of one's rational self through love is an exhilarating rollercoaster ride. It's part of what makes life worth living.
