happy with who I am and where I'm at

I am single and have been for a couple of years now.
Okay more than a couple.
I'm actually very happy with my relationship status.
I have never really felt defined by being in a relationship like some people do.
I finally found a woman that I trusted enough to have kids with but it was late in life. And when we divorced I didn't feel the need to replace her.
So overall the relationship did what it was supposed to do.
Now I have three wonderful children that are my world and that is all I am worried about as far as any relationships go.

Your post is less positive than it sounds.

@Dainbramadge You miss being in a relationship. You miss a smile, and a kiss, and a "How was you day?".

@helenS hmm. You do bring up a good point. You could be right and I may be in denial. But the actual post was about how I feel and if I'm in denial then I would still feel content in where I'm at.
Now another thing to think about is I am not 100% at the moment. I also don't think it would be fair to drag somebody into my life in the state that it's in at the moment. So that could be a factor also.
And as nasty as this is going to make me feel I don't think I could find somebody quite like my ex-wife ever again. So there is that also.
Well I guess there is a lot of things to consider when a person decides whether or not they are happy being single or they are just settling.
