Could Walmart Be Going Down Now?

@cherokeepatti Look at all the shoplifting they are having to put up with. The Mayor of Chicago openly saying on TV that if Walmart pulls out where will his constituents have to shoplift at. 🤦‍♂️

@Musicman My store has all of the Dove products locked up behind glass. I'm like, wtf? I'm not gonna stand around and wait an hour for someone to come and unlock it. 🙄

@MsSwan I wouldn't like it either, but I understand it. What is the new law in California. Don't arrest or prosecute any shoplifting under $1000. Stores, especially like Walmart, can't withstand daily losses of this caliber and how many shoplifting losses are they accruing daily?

@Musicman Yes but the thing is that Walmart is not trying to compete much online with Amazon either.

@cherokeepatti I know right? They're stealing Dove soap and body wash, but not any of the other brands? I've seen jewelry and electronics locked up before, but not soap, lol.

They also comepletely took out the fine jewelry counter. I guess they were getting robbed. 😔

@MsSwan they took out the fine jewelry counters here about 2 years ago. My friends sister in law was a jewelry buyer for Walmart. I think they might have had a hard time keeping buyers. Cost over $$10,000 to go to a jewelers school in Las Angeles
