Feeling Feisty….May Go To Walmart & Tease The Security To See If They Are Watching People Like Hawks…

Heard they are cracking down on shoplifters. One of the funniest things I ever saw when I was a greeter was this kid, maybe 18 years old and he looked like a goofball….teasing the Asset Protection guys. They were “stealthily” watching him & approaching him quietly surrounding him and he was using mannerisms to make them that more suspicious. I could tell he was teasing them the way he turned around and looked at them. They let him walk out of the store, probably because he had nothing to stop him for.

LOL. i know my Walmart which I hate to go into has security at the front door. anything in my cart that is not bagged gets checked. i get it. Costco probably has zero stealing.

@akindheart I think that guy wanted the AP to stop him & drag him to the back room. Maybe he thought he could get a lawsuit out of it, I don’t know. He was doing things like sticking his hands in his jacket pockets, stopping near displays etc. I could tell he was playing with them and they apparently fell for it. He was probably doing it all over the store and wanted to see how many employees would work their way to the front to take him down. 😂 They usually have a half-dozen or more to do that.

@cherokeepatti wow...that is desperation. it is like all the lawsuits that i see down here. the illegals are making millions.

@akindheart Maybe they had followed him before and he got tired of it. I have been followed all over a Target store when I was young. I was there on a Sunday morning looking for clearance items in October (when they would mark their clearance down cheap), looking for little things they’d sell for a quarter-$1. I went all over that store and noticed a security guy would follow me to each department. So I went to the women’s lingerie department and he was grabbing the panties and bras on hangers acting like he was shopping😂 but never actually picked anything to keep. So I’d go to another department and he would do the same thing. Apparently his break time came after two hours and he left, I got my clearance stuff and went and checked out.

@cherokeepatti thats sad. they let me go because i don't fit the profile i guess. funny thing though is that i have been stopped a million times flying because i do fit the older lady carrying drugs profile. it got so bad, i had to call my congressman

@akindheart It was strange because everything I got to buy was put down into my shopping cart. I don’t know how that could have raised any suspicions. I think part of it was I was much poorer and didn’t have money to buy really nice clothing. I would wear simple (clean) things but maybe didn’t fit the profile of a typical Target shopper. I was also pregnant at the time so wearing baggier clothing. It was early Sunday morning before the church crowd got there so maybe they didn’t have anything better to do than follow me around for 2 long hours. I felt harassed but at the same time I played along.

@akindheart haha never knew you were the cartel boss of S FL🤣
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Ravens80 i know right? i got stopped in every international airport but Munich was the worst. They would not let me go down the concourse. I had to go around the perimeter of the airport and 15 security checkpoints. Finally i said enough.

@cherokeepatti He might have been part of a group of thieves. If one person can behave really suspiciously and draw all the attention, other thieves working as part of the group are free to conceal items about their person.

@4meAndyou could be right about that. There was a woman who was well-known around this area at all the Walmarts for bringing back items and getting cash refunds (had to be $10 including tax or less and they dropped the amount allowed that to $5 just because she did it so many times a day at each stores…100’s of times that I saw…she’d bring back the same type merchandise—ceramic soap dishes, packs of Sharpie markers, etc—-many times to get refunds). I was taking my break when she came up to get another refund and they told her their new policy was to cash refund only $5 or less. It pissed her off but It didn’t stop her. She just changed her tactics. Would see her scurrying out of the store quickly probably had pockets full of stuff. She’d bring her two young children in the store for lookouts. The boy would have a puppy in the top of his jacket as he walked out and be smiling, I never saw him enter with it so they hid it. And it would always be a young puppy even weeks or months later. I think he was using it to distract other customers while his mother stole the store blind.

@cherokeepatti My annoying friend was going to pull some sort of scam at Walmart...I HATE thieves...don't hate him...so I am glad he changed his mind. He sent away for an I phone case and ordered the 11 PRO, and needs a plain iphone 11 case . He mumbled something about taking it in to Walmart and pretending it was a gift and exchanging it for the correct one....only thing is, he used MY Amazon account...and realized all by himself that the refund will go directly to my account if he does it the way he is supposed to. I didn't have to say anything.

Wow...fire and police sirens are going crazy right now. People must have started drinking already.

@akindheart If they rough you up and you have stolen nothing you can make them pay good.
