I’m Buying The Boy A Metal Detector…

@WillaKissing A young woman went around the beaches on the lake here (it’s large) after a long drought and the water level was low. She did it for about a year and amassed quite a bit of gold and silver jewelry. I remember during the oil boom so many would wear heavy gold or silver chains and be in that lake swimming. She wouldn’t say how much she found just that it was “A lot”. Also coins and other things.

@WillaKissing He went for an over night camp with 4 other friends on a rural acreage. He told me that he brought his favorite camping spoon to use and it has other things on it for tools. Anyway his friend asked to use it an it flipped up and went over into some weeds. He said that it took him time to find it. I told him that it would have been good if he had a metal detector to help find it. He said “yeah I was thinking that we could have had a lot of fun with a metal detector.” I didn’t tell him that I am ordering one, it’s a surprise.
