Small victories…

I paid off some medical bills, including a recent surgery, which left me pinching pennies, so when I wrote up my grocery list last night I was a tad stressed.

When I woke up this morning and checked the list, some of the most expensive items had gone on sale ! So altogether about $20 less than what I’d initially calculated.

The delivery person had long (dred)locks. Usually, I wear my hair pinned up (when it’s down I feel like "Grandma" from the Addams Family), but today I left it down.

The delivery person was very cheerful, and said, "’Auntie’, such a magnificent mane ! You’d be rocking white locks !"
I chuckled and told him that I’d had locks for awhile years ago.

Prices going down...lovely compliment. As you say, small but very significant delights in stressful times.

Sounds like a good day all in all!

Did you take exception to being called Auntie?
@sciguy18 In his case, no. He’s probably around my niece’s age, and he’s brought things before. He says it respectfully.

Get it while you can ❤ because there's a possibility it may not stay that way.
@AngelUnforgiven Yep, I know. 🙁

@AngelUnforgiven I am fortunate to have the time and money to look up "specials " for the week ahead and stock up on items while they are discounted.. Most supermarkets put out an on line catalogue on the website..😷
