Tesco has no slice pans of bread left as people begin to panic buy ahead of Storm Eowyn due to hit Ireland tomorrow

Looks like people there have refused to prepare for storms ahead of time. In the past I know everyone in my neighborhood had a two weeks supply of everything! Just before payday it was not uncommon to break into it and we always put the supplies back immediately when we got money!
That's not how people who despise each other behave. That's so 1980's, being prepared.

The DSB here in Norway recommends that everyone have sufficient supplies of fuel, water, tinned and dried food, and cash to last at least a week. See https://www.sikkerhverdag.no/en/

And I have to admit that I rarely have quite that much water available but there is plenty of snow about just now.

It doesn't entirely stop all panic buying though; in the early part of COVID there was a three week period during which it was very difficult to find flour or yeast for bread baking.

Bet the bog rolls were the first to go.
