What I think was unprofessional on his part was that he talked to other customers about you while you were waiting,

@Pfuzylogic And he told me I was lying when I explained to him that I’d never been told to call ahead before. I did defend myself when he said I was lying. Something I don’t usually do, but all I said to him was that I had no reason to lie to him about chicken.

@QueenOfTheNerds For an entire prepared meal, if they offer that service, you'd have to expect to pre-order, but if you were buying meat, cheese, and salad by the pound, it would be crazy to have to pre-order or to accuse someone of lying about having been told that before.
Even if he was having a bad day for something unrelated to you, there's no excuse for intentional rudeness, none, ever.
