Do you think backing into a parking spot at a grocery store is stupid?

Where are you going to put your groceries?? In the hood of the car??

Just pull straight through. Its that simple

@Jonjdw Not so simple when the rows are either double so there is likely to be another car in front of yours, or single but against a wall! :-)

@ArishMell yes I know but I would rather park away from everyone. I don’t care if I have to walk across the parking lot. I don’t want to drive around lots of people and lots of cars.

@Jonjdw I imagine you go at quite times then so you've plenty of choice!

What I find far worse though are many of the motorway service-areas where the main routes and directions turn the area directly in front of the building into a busy road, albeit with slow one-way traffic.

@ArishMell I think this post is about parking lots. they’re talking about Costco I’m talking about any place like Walmart or anywhere

@Jonjdw I didn't think there is much to choose between any of the supermarkets. They have to make best use of the land available when they build the shops, and it can be quite cramped in some places.

The one I went to this morning, a Lidl, has lots of space and its car-park is in two parts well spread out. On the other hand a supermarket about the same distance in the other direction is squeezed into a triangular site between two roads, making for quite tight car-parks.

Went to - didn't use. I'd forgotten to take a Pound coin for the trolley lock!
