I just don’t understand why people do this. Backing into a small, tightly defined space is obviously more of a hassle than backing out into a larger open space.

@pdockal it is self-evident that backing a car into an 8’ wide space with other cars on both sides is more of a hassle than backing it out into a wide open space. Neither is difficult but if you watch it ALWAYS takes a driver more time to back in than back out. That’s time others are waiting.

@redredred 99% of the population doesn't have the skill to reverse into a space smoothly.
