When I was a kid I used to spend Friday afternoons at my friend's house after school.

I passed by the neighbourhood by chance and there were Polish men gathered at the small square just outside, just like they used to back then. After all these years so much has changed but the men were still there. It was so comforting somehow.

I remember when I was young how men would gather around and talk around the town square as their wives shopping on Saturday mornings. It was a farming community and Saturdays were the day they came to town to do their business and shopping. I live in a city now and don’t see that at all.
