Tbh no matter what's being said, the USA's right wing is really mild compared to what's out there for the rest of us.

I mean some of them even support gay rights and are openly irreligious.

I remember just 6 years ago when I was in high school, being an atheist was almost unheard of and only a minority claimed the word "feminist". I'm not even going to talk about the treatment of lgbt+ and immigrants. My chemistry professor called me Bakunin for being open about these issues and questioning very common "jokes" and what not.
And now they act like they are afraid of "cancel culture" and "woke people". We are just getting started. It's just what they thought was "normal" for all their lifetime being questioned now. Imagine living in fear of being yourself for all these years. Like even just for wearing something. I'm still very alert whenever I see men dressed in a more "feminine" way in public transportation, for example. I think what if someone attacks them out of the blue?
Some people think just because someone won't tolerate insults from them and will talk back, they have their freedoms taken away.

That's interesting. In Egypt it's even worse like this professor despite not agreeing with your views he didn't try to actually harm you.
Just two years before getting into my college a guy from my city who's Atheist tried being open about LGBT after this professor kept saying how being gay is a mental illness. He got so offended after the guy simply said that they are just people like you and me. Next thing he calls the police on the guy and then all the other students signed a thing (not sure what to call it like a form thing) and got the guy kicked out of college.
He's a youtuber now and on one video he was talking about the professor and he put his picture and I discovered that he teached me for 2 years and was on my FB friend list 🤢. He was so self-righteous and weird.
Sometimes I wonder what the situation would be like if they asked me to sign on their stupid paper.

It's just dumb doing all that for an opposite opinion. And then they wonder why things are so corrupt and bad.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether exactly, situations can get so extreme for things that are simple... I'm so sorry for that guy.

You know those traditional only-men cafes? I'm sure you've seen them in Turkey, maybe in Egypt too, but we have them here as well. I'm convinced if you put an average american conservative in one of those, they will start questioning how conservative they actually are. And we're talking about our every day men. Like people with university degrees too, teaching children and teenagers like in the case of that guy that you told me. It's more fcked up the more I think about it.
@HannibalAteMeOut You have a very good point. They will feel blessed and probably will feel silly about themselves. It's like they are spoiled conservatives who have no idea what real conservatives are.

It's actually very similar to a Muslim from a developed country who for example goes to Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan and tries to live there. They won't handle it and will possibly reconsider a lot of things.

It is very fucked up in deed and all about control.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether yeah it's like how they say "Go to the Middle East if you don't like it here and then you'll see how good you have it". Yeah how about THEY go to a more conservative country, a theocracy etc and see how much they like their own values. If I go to a more liberal place I'll feel great. If they go to a more conservative one, they'll want to leave. That's our difference.

Exactly!

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Wow imagine being afraid of LGBT people that you call the cops on LGBT supporters because you're that scared lmfao and they say there's no such thing as homophobia, yeah right. That's fear if I ever smelled it.
@SatanBurger Yup homophobia and islamophobia are just figments of the evil free world imagination.
