Do that for eggs please?

@Thevy29 Price for a 60-count box of eggs has dropped way low compared to what it was this winter. Both Walmart and Winco’s 60-count boxes are less than $9 now. Walmart’s high price this winter was about $28 and for Winco it was $22.

@cherokeepatti It costs $12 for a box of 18 here. And that's the biggest we have.

@Thevy29 are there any local egg farms where you live? You live on an island don’t you?
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@cherokeepatti Technically Australia's an Island. 🤔 Around here local growers leave their produce in stalls outside their property and rely on your honesty to pay if you want any of it. The eggs are usually sold out.

@Thevy29 Oh OK. Maybe it’s due to the price of grain and the price of meat too. Did you know that Australia is exporting beef? They are selling ground beef at the Aldi stores here and it says Australia on the packages (and a couple of other countries too). The prices going up there in Australia and the meat is being exported.

@cherokeepatti For some reason I could never figure out. Australia exports most of the stuff we grow and import the same stuff from other countries. I guess the bigger companies make money from doing this somehow but its undercutting the smaller farms. Which is why when the product is 100% Australian made it has to have a special sticker on to tell us this.

@Thevy29 That’s not right at all. I can buy Australian meat here on sale cheaper than what you pay there and they have to factor in the cost of transportation and middlemen in it.
