I Went To The Discount Store This Morning…..

Bought 5 items and got good deals on them. It was $5 day today. This was my best purchase of the day. The one that I bought is larger than the pictured item, it is 48 inches by 20 inches. Very heavy canvas. I could use it for a bug-out bag and have changes of clothing, towels, necessities, extra shoes, electronics, food etc. in it. But would need the boy to help me tote it around because it holds so much. Some campers are putting all their camp stuff (tent, food, inflatable sleep pads, cot, collapsible stove, blankets & other items in it)
.

@Stereoguy Yeah. I hear you. I went with the live by the sword die by the sword. I'm banking on my maker getting me through the things I am ment to survive.

Put it on a travois and you won't need a boy to carry it.

@hippyjoe1955 I don’t have a travois and it needs wheels on one end.

@cherokeepatti Long time ago in a galaxy far away I brought a very chilled calf home on a travois I had made out of a couple of long sticks and my parka. I just dragged the ends of the sticks on the frozen ground/snow. It was the better part of a mile and old momma cow was bellowing all the way not sure if she should attack me or not. The calf and the cow survived and so did I.

Can you keep it in your car?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrBrownstone I could keep it in the back of my Honda CRV. But I like to have room to put groceries etc when I go shopping.

@DeWayfarer Went out to have dinner one evening in the month of December here and came home and there was a small snake near the sidewalk. The temperature started falling after dark and it must have gotten chilled enough that it didn’t have the warmth and energy to crawl back into the blocks surrounding the flower bed. Also raked up two snakes around the end of one November because it hadn’t gotten cool enough for the leaves to fall off until a week or so before. I have to be wary when I am out in the yard till that time if it’s a warm autumn.

@cherokeepatti all I can say is I have had more problems with other things than snakes at night. Everything from Scropeans to chiggers to fire ants. Especially at night.

The scropeans like your body heat.

@DeWayfarer we got scorpions here too. My sisters used to go behind our back deck and shine a flashlight and turn over rocks and use long tweezers and pick them up and put them in a glass jar. You can also use a black light, they glow under it.
