I want to get 100% organic cotton bedsheets, but I'm wondering if that would be extravagant and I don't want to be extravagant.

A high thread count is extravagant in 100% cotton sheets. Not just any old 100% cotton sheets.
A 200 thread count is cheap in 100% cotton sheets. A 1200 thread count is extravagant.
Also check for reputation on those high thread count sheet makers. Many are selling fakes.

@DeWayfarer Well, I don't know that much about sheets and thread counts. I just don't want to lay on a bed of chemicals not intended for human interaction.
