It cost me $22 for three dozen eggs yesterday.

This is outrageous. Had I not felt so bad yesterday or been so tired, I wouldn't have bought them but I didn't want to go to another store. And this was at Schnucks. Over $7 for a dozen eggs. I could not believe it. There was no shortage! I'll never go there again. I just couldn't believe it. And they limited me to only three dozen. I was really upset about that because I'm disabled and it's a lot for me to get out and do stuff. Now, after I run out of those, I would have to go out again which is a real inconvenience for me, so next time I'm just going to order them and have them delivered. I'd like to find a local farmer who would sell them cheaper but I haven't seen any signs out.

How long will that many eggs last you?
@cherokeepatti Well at least 3 weeks, so that's good. I'm good to go. Haha

@LadyGrace I bought 2 dozen a couple weeks ago and we had a dozen in the refrigerator. Still have some. I haven’t been baking much or eating eggs very often. They were a 2-dozen box of eggs at Sam’s Club for $8.24. But the previous two shopping trips there they were all sold out, cheaper than Walmart’s or Aldi’s eggs and these were free-range.
@cherokeepatti Wow, Patti, that's a great deal. I've cut down on my eggs. They might even last me four weeks, but not past that. I know you can't eat them past 5 weeks.

@LadyGrace I put them in water to test them, if they are floating throw them out. I have had them keep a bit longer than 5 weeks. When it was really cold in the winter a few years ago and they were cheap to buy a 60-count case of them I would get them and keep them in the garage, they stayed cold and none of them ruined.
@cherokeepatti yes ma'am, so have I but I decided not to keep them longer than 5 weeks anymore but I really like your idea with the floating the eggs in the water. Thank you.
