Do you think malls should allow the very aggressive and pushy sales people?

You probably know the ones I’m talking about. They have some that sale soap or Dead Sea minerals. Many also work in the kiosks. I typically ignore and keep walking but today I had one grab my hand and start putting some cakes and too dark makeup on my hand and before I know it he is patting my face with it. It happened so quick I didn’t even really have time to respond.

Head butting works well🤔

I avoid responding at all to kiosk salesmen and people with clipboards asking if I am a registered voter. I have brought a few to yelling and cussing at me for not responding to them in the slightest, with my cold, hard, unfeeling INTJ face. Usually muttering about how they exist, they are human, thanks for ignoring them, they are right here, etc.

If someone forced something into my hand I wouldn't contract it, and let it instantly fall to the ground. If they blocked my way I would go around, or walk backwards completely ignkring them otherwise, not even focusing my eyes on them.

What we have in the states is old "Red River" laws, coirt precedent on 1st Amandment basis allowing salesmen the right to pitch a product to people. It isn't fullproof, they can't trespass when signs say no trespassing. No soliciting only works in competing retail areas where a business owns or rents that space and doesn't want to share it. A no soliciting aign doesn't really work however on a private residence, most cops will scratch their heads if you call them on that basis.

Jehova Witnesses have completely changed their tactics from door to door solicitation and street preaching to passive, street corner advertisement of bible study courses in groups of two or more. They realized old fashion sales tactics don't really work anymore.

I'll be like,

Aye yo, employee of the year, take it easy.

If I got time, I'll be back oh.

People gotta do what they gotta do.

I just roll with it.

The touching of the face is really disrespectful though.

That can start a fight in my culture.

I would have been upset and complained big time if someone grabbed my hand and started putting anything on my hand or face without permission. I have super sensitive skin and break out in rashes and hives from many creams and makeup
Mudkip · 31-35, M
That's not pushy, that's a minor assault lol. But all jokes aside, it's pushing that since they don't really have any right to put a hand on you.
Letsdothis1987 · 51-55, M
No, way to aggressive and annoying, let people decide where they want to shop.
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
No. I had to get loud and almost push some guy out of the way. So annoying.
See, they are trying to make a living too to feed their families. It's not that they enjoy it, but one has to do what not for a living

Two men with flat irons were begging me to let them do my hair. I declined bc of the spectacle of it all. Lol

Can I interest you in some trainers? They're great for running away from aggressive sales people 👟👟 🏃🏼‍♀️💨
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
It's uncomfortable experience, people forgot how to respect customers!
No. Nobody should be touching you, spraying you with anything or putting anything on you. For all they know, you could be allergic, and the mall would be liable.
The touching is technically assault.
eventtemple123 · 22-25, M
It makes me want to buy their product less lol
chasingThursday · 36-40, M
Our local mall barely has any stores left in it
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I would call that assault..
ThickMadame · 51-55, F
Yes, their more pushy on the women to.
Alex51 · 61-69, M
Now customer don't like such sales people. Current customers value their privacy. They are visiting the mall after a good assessment of the items at a mall in digital media
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Alex51 Most of what the pushy sales people are selling is useless stuff anyways.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Love retail/shopping, but I don’t want someone entering my personal space like a robo caller. If you don’t give me my right of way, I’m definitely going to push you aside without slowing down.
CestManan · 46-50, F
Kind of why I like shopping thrift stores - the workers there won't even acknowledge your existence.
I like to be left alone when I shop.
NO, they should be banned.

Just like the perfume squirters.

I say "no thank you" with a smile as I keep walking

Umile · 41-45, F
