Where do you shop for groceries?

For me we use Walmart or Giant. As of late I keep reading news articles about Walmart making self checkout lanes 15 items or less. The Walmart I used to work at removed the majority of registers and relies on self checkout.

On the grocery side of the store are at least 15 self checkouts designed for handling big amounts of items.

I don't think these articles are for every store tho either, just the ones with theft problems. But the people writing these stories need to be a lot clearer in their writings, because they're making it sound as if changes to self checkout affects every single store and it doesn't.

Local farmers market. Eggs, milk and chicken from farm. I catch my own salmon. Rice and beans from farmers too. I grow my veggies.

@twiigss I shop at local stores, but I catch my own fish and grow my vegetables in the farm as a hobby.

@DareToSayIT that's cool. Yeah we've a bunch of those farmers markets here too, mostly Amish or Mennonite.

@twiigss I was calculating, I save a lot of money that way and also get fresh produce. I go to supermarkets only when don’t find something in farmers market which is very rare. I do it mostly during thanksgiving.
