Sensory-Friendly Shopping Hours ????

RuyLopez · 56-60, M
This is a time when people that become overstimulated by too much or too loud external input. For instance people with this issue would completely shut down trying to go to a large sporting event or concert or a over crowded restaurant.

We happened to visit the rides at the state fair during their sensory day hours one morning and I've got to say I thought it was fantastic.

They probably think there aren't that many people there in that time frame. It prolly helps

There's no music on the speakers. The lights are dimmed.

@DunningKruger I was about to ask how do they accomplish that. Thanks.

That sounds like a great concept. I don't think we have that at our Walmart

I doubt anyone goes to those places specifically for the 'ambience' they say they're dialling down

all stores could learn from this...I LOVE IT
Wonder how they do that. 🤔 I don't think they could pull that off without limiting the number of customers at one time
