Have You Ordered Anything From Temu Website?

I heard for about a year now that some people have had their banking accounts hacked and money removed after using a Temu account to order things. But now I find out that they will accept Visa cards so wouldn’t have to worry about my bank account getting hacked that way. I started seeing a lot of identical things that I have been looking for on Amazon selling for about 50-75% less than what Amazon and other sites sell the same thing for. Now rethinking of ordering. The worst drawback is that it might take up to 3 weeks to get the package shipped. But they offer refunds and pay for postage if you send something back that is defective. I already have a list of things I want to order and may get a $100 Visa card to do just that.

Temu is a Chinese subsidiary of Pinduoduo, a large, Chinese retailer. Temu has a bad reputation.

When you actually try to order something from them, the price you first saw will change to a higher price if you want a different color. It's a bait and switch. Sometimes, what you want is right there in front of you, and you try to buy it, and Temu substitutes another more expensive item. Sometimes it's an item that takes hard to find batteries.

Temu has a reputation for putting fake customer feedback on the items they sell, AND for promising guaranteed refunds which do not appear.

The crate scam is one they use to try to get hold of your credit card number. They tell you that a crate full of a certain number of randomly selected items has been reserved in your name...and it does seem like a bargain at $10, the way they describe it. However, they will not sell it to you unless you give them a Visa or Mastercard number.

I began to receive the Crate scam emails, and no matter how many times I marked them as SPAM, they keep reappearing.
