Thoughts on lingerie
If one shows a bare ankle on here, some will demand to be shown a whole leg. Perhaps it's indeed natural, but like Montaigne would have said, always try to look at it from the other side. Why do women actually wear expensive underwear? Perhaps even the obviously uncomfortable ones instead of the plain but casual ones? Personally, I think that it's for the sake of feeling expensive, important enough to counter any bad thought coming into ones own head.
I've been looking in the mirror lately and noticing a definitive decline in standards. Not doing my hair as well any more than I used to, etc. There was a time once that everything was indeed different. I got a bad spell of problems of self-worth and unability to get myself across recent psychological setbacks and bariers from childhood that costed me a tremendously at the time, and by overthinking, is almost doubling each past year. Enough, I need to change.
Realizing this in the middle of the night is indeed a step into a better morning. By the way, I'm typing this down also in memory of the olden days on EP. This is how some of us used to share our thoughts and experiences then. Back to the subject matter, to why do women indeed keep wearing expensive lingerie, I'd propose that it's for the most part because we all know that we both worth it and want to have even in maturity something on that completes us.
Lets face it, it’s fun to dress up and it’s a confidence boost too. After a bit of saving up for it, L’agent Provocateur or Mimi Holiday still do a good job at offering the right stuff. Unique Vintage is also good if ones likes old school styles. Even ASOS has a good selection that’s more budget friendly. I'm going to look for some recent outfits right now. Even when one is home alone in the middle of the night, one deserves the sensuality and feeling sexy...
Anyhow, as someone who did a lot of giving, and wasn't necessarily as lucky at receiving anything to date, I still "fucking love" (excuse the language) lingerie. It's indeed the dressing up part and able to give oneself and ones partner a boost. Nowadays it's still not all "technically lingerie" (and maybe more importantly, not all of it is indeed femme-coded). Here I must add that I think that strickly "gender-neutral/masc-coded" lingerie is really underrated to literally everyone's detriment.
Let me end on the key obversation of someone has lived a long life already, and that is that a small but very dear-to-you collection of lingerie will make you start feeling not only sensual by yourself but will give you that extra confidence too when wearing it
