I've decided to cut back on my caregiving time and work one less day a week...

My body is telling me that working seven days a week isn't working. The money has kept me afloat but I think I need a day off.

I'm not taking care of myself like I should and I deserve care too.

I only have myself and my son needs me. There's not much fat to trim but I've talked to my therapist and my GP and I'm showing early signs of a breakdown. I have to make changes.

Times are also just tough right now with rising prices, so I've done what I had to do. Doesn't seem fair though that a mom needs to work this much and I don't even have daycare. I'm thankful for how I've expertly worked things out but my sanity is on thin ice.

@Tastyfrzz I'm not, there is other staff, but I pretty much do what they do I'm just paid privately.

@ScreamingFox I have a philippino girl renting the downstairs. She was doing CNA work but cleaning up 600 lb people four times a day is too much for her. Her friends found an assembly job for the same pay ($21/hr) and more hours per week. Plus, she has varicose veins and all of the standing was excruciating. Nursing home says they'll take her back.
