Everything that’s going on. We have a new president and the sooner the old one accepts it and concedes, maybe the sooner everyone else can move forward.
@bijouxbroussard i doubt it.people are highly political. people hated bush, people hated obama, people hated trump, and people will hate biden or kamala since biden probably wont last 4 years.
@undetermined And why wouldn’t Biden last 4 years ? Do you have some kind of crystal ball ?
@bijouxbroussard ??? havent you seen his cognitive decline and how frail he looks now. looks completely different then when he was vp
@undetermined No. The only “cognitive decline” I’ve seen is Trump’s. Somehow he thinks he’s won the election in spite of having fewer popular votes and fewer electoral votes, both in the initial election and the recounts he demanded. Not to mention him lying to his supporters about the election, telling them to “come march” with him at the Capitol and then basically going into hiding while they rioted and folks died. 😳
Trump’s lost his freaking mind.
Joe Biden may’ve once had a stutter, but otherwise he’s just fine.
@bijouxbroussard um he cant even remember words and misplace words theres a lot of his speech problems and speech issues on youtube. he does have mental problems which is worrisome. probably has an onset of dementia.
@bijouxbroussard and both parties are crazy. dems supported the riots which ended up killing people and looting and burning down cities, none of whats been going on from either side has been good.
@undetermined Um, I think believing that just makes you feel better about the madman currently in White House. And there’s nothing to be done for that. 🙄
@bijouxbroussard i just hate both parties and dont understand how people are so fixated on a party when both sides are the issue
@undetermined Let’s look at that for a moment. Peaceful civil rights protesters were shot by police with rubber bullets. Donald Trump called upon people who were marching for civil rights (even the ones who weren’t rioting, because he assumed they all were) to be shot by the National Guard. He built a fence around the White House to protect himself from black people marching outside on the streets. But his supporters were able to converge on the Capitol building, and the police didn’t start shooting until some had forced their way in. And mostly they stood talking with those people. They didn’t just kill them off like animals.
@bijouxbroussard actually there was more white people in the blm protests than black people. but i also think the white house take over was staged, trump had to of had the capital guards let that happen.
@undetermined For me it’s less the party title than the platform it carries. The GOP as it stands now doesn’t represent my values; I support labor, access to healthcare care and affords education, civil rights, LGBTQ rights and women’s reproductive rights. That makes the decision fairly easy for me.
@bijouxbroussard for me neither party is for the people. im more pro environment but green new deal would have been bad and a lot of green energy thats out there now isnt really green or earth friendly its more of companies weaseling their way into politics for money. dont support socialized programs as im anti taxation as to me taxation is theft. but there needs to be a way of lowering the costs of education and healthcare if its a means of government starting their own programs with lower costs than the ballooned ones that corporations own or by some other means because something really needs to be done with the price of housing, fuel/energy, education, healthcare costs, ect, ect and neither party has a solution to those. each time the government gets involved prices of things skyrocket.
@undetermined
actually there was more white people in the blm protests than black people
There were also several people who weren’t there to support civil rights at all. Where I live two police officers who died during riots were killed by members of the so-called “Bougaloo” movement—right-wingers. What were they doing there ? In Wisconsin, an armed teenager named Kyle Rittenhouse drove several miles to a anti racism civil rights protest, shot and killed two unarmed (white) protesters. What was Rittenhouse even doing there ? And guess who was his champion ? None other than our president !
@undetermined
for me neither party is for the people.
That would leave you with the option of non-participation if that’s what you believe.
It’s not an option for me. Too many people died so that I could participate. I don’t take it for granted.
@bijouxbroussard from what i know of rittenhouse was he was protecting property during the riots and some people ended up attacking him which he returned in fire.
@bijouxbroussard im an independent, like george washington was against poltiical parties he seen this happening long ago when the country was taking shape as he seen people forming groups and it caused division.
@undetermined Again, he drove several miles out of his way with a weapon to interfere with a protest. And he killed two unarmed people. So assuming it was even about property, obviously he valued property over lives. And because he was a young white man, people on Trump’s side are giving him a pass. He murdered two white men but since they were protesting for the civil rights of black people they lost their white privilege along with their lives. 😞
@bijouxbroussard actually that is false, theres a lot of fake media coming out from both parties. he didnt carry any weapons across state lines. he was apparently protecting someone he knew property. protesting civil rights is one thing assault and looting is criminal charges.
@undetermined I don’t use George Washington as a yardstick in the 21st century. He probably wouldn’t even think I should be free, never mind voting. 🤨
@bijouxbroussard but he does have a point because look at how people are acting now. people are brainwashed by their political affiliation, only getting news sources that bend to their political ideologies. it does nothing than creates a group vs group mentality.
@undetermined Again, the right had to justify Rittenhouse murdering two civil rights protesters. And Trump’s side has needed to make him a hero. They even went so far as to attempt to smear one of the men he killed, to that end. That’s where the “fake news” is coming from—Trump and his white supremacist network.
@bijouxbroussard again both sides are liars, theres no need to believe much that you hear. its either white supremacists or antifa
@undetermined Trump won the presidency in 2016 by appealing to the racism and nationalism in our country. It’s been much less about folks devoted to the parties than people devoted to Donald Trump himself. And that’s exactly how he’s liked it. The only new organizations he’s claimed were valid are those who flatter him. Finding reports from international media have been illuminating—they have little reason to either flatter or unnecessarily demonize Trump and the things he said and done during the last four years.
@bijouxbroussard idk i see both sides as racists. you do have the far righters but you also have far lefters and whites who think that they are better than blacks and that its only the whites that can save them. then all the anti-white people rhetoric. so like i was saying before both sides have their issues.
@undetermined No, Antifa was not waving Confederate and U.S. flags. They were not wearing MAGA hats. They were not storming the Capitol steps, and they were not the folks who’d received an invitation by President Donald Trump to march with him in an attempt “take back the presidency”, as if the people hadn’t legally voted him out. Antifa was not involved in that, and it wasn’t “both sides”. It was Trump and the GOP.
