@Wraithorn I find it is usually because the ex is deliberately trying to make that person jealous. My kid's dad convinced every single guy I tried to date after him (and before him but I didn't know about that until afterward) that I had cheated on them with him. He didn't stop even when he had girlfriends until he moved in with one of them and my son met her and would be able to rat him out if any more of the guys in my life left me because of his drama.
