I feel like I'm suffocating. I try to be as independent as possible but mum borrows too much without paying it back. I thought the kids did that shit to parents.

Hey I get it’s your mom but maybe it’s time you show her some tough love, give her advice or something, tell her to get a better job. Parents shouldn’t hold you back.

Tell her your issues about it. And don't lend her money until she finds a way to pay.

Dont "lend" her any money. She has no intention of ever paying you anything back imo. Cut her off.
