This was never EP. Its a different site.
laceset45 · 46-50, F
@Carissimi ,It was pretty much the same format
Carissimi · 70-79, F
It has a very similar format, with a few missing features. They started this because EP was shutting down, and they wanted to make a similar place for people to go. I’m thankful they did, but it can’t compare to EP back in the day. @laceset45

@Carissimi,I can't exactly remember why they shut down..I know one thing thing couldn't keep up with the maintance all the time.

They had no idea it grow this fast
@laceset45 when someone off the site murders someone pretty sure it will get the site shut down that is what happened to EP
WindTherapy · 56-60, M
@laceset45The way I remember it, around that time there was an assisted suicide or some other matter. It linked back that the woman and man had met through EP and law enforcement wanted EPs records and such. There may have been some other behind the scene issues as well.
laceset45 · 46-50, F
@WindTherapy ,Holy shit! I never knew that.
WindTherapy · 56-60, M
@laceset45 Yeah, I believe there is a post here somewhere that has a link to an article in the press. I believe the woman was from Ohio and drive to Minnesota to meet a man she had befriended.

@WindTherapy the guy met up with the girl and ended up slitting her throat they had a story about it all on TV

@ExperienceDLT😲😖😳
@laceset45 it was on the show web of lies type in web of lies and experience project it will bring it up

@ExperienceDLT
when someone off the site murders someone pretty sure it will get the site shut down that is what happened to EP
yeah but stuff like that has happened on craigslist and FB yet they are still about.
@CestManan EP was worse than those sites ever dared to be
laceset45 · 46-50, F
@CestManan ,I think any social platform is vulnerable for this
CestManan · 46-50, F
@ExperienceDLT Just what went on with EP that was worse or more widespread than FB or CL?

@laceset45 I wonder if that was the main reason it shot down or just the final straw.

I was not on EP much or even very long.
@CestManan EP was basically an unpoliced site where anything could occur that is why it's die hard loyalist loved it so much you could do anything and get by with it it started out good but by the end it was one of the worst sites in existence
CestManan · 46-50, F
@ExperienceDLT Interesting. Usually unpoliced sites end up getting spammed really bad by bots.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
We don’t know if it was the murder that caused its demise, so this is speculation. We had freedom of speech there, and it wasn’t Woke, thank God. That was when the 1st Amendment meant something before the PC police imposed their ideas of speech on everyone else. @ExperienceDLT

@Carissimi, Our country has become something I never seen in my life.SMH
CestManan · 46-50, F
@laceset45 It isn't any worse than when we were younger. We just were not bothered by it back then.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
It’s the whole world, @laceset45. Something catastrophic to our freedom is underway. I believed we could fight it, and maybe we can, but I’m not so sure now.

@CestManan I could be wrong but from memory there were issues around providing info to the police etc on its users

On another note: I also am not sure it was 'assisted suicide' with the woman tied up and her throat slit

What a way to go 🥺
laceset45 · 46-50, F
@CestManan ,We didn't even have half the problems as we do now.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
Exactly. People didn’t get fired for holding their own opinions, or have bank accounts closed for not going with the “proper” narrative. @laceset45
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Carissimi how and where does that happen?
I have never had to go through any narrative at my bank.
