I’m watching Sweet Home Alabama

for probably the 80th time. I love this movie and makes me think. Did we meet our soul mates when we were young? Now if you’re older and single it’s too late, the ship has sailed?

I don’t think it’s ever too late to know someone.
Even if it is too late to keep them in your life.
And I think there are many versions of “the one, soulmate.”
As time moves on, we change.
Our needs change.
And maybe… what we need from love changes too.
Some people are meant to stay.
Some I think are meant to teach us a little about ourselves.
Some just pass through and still leave a distinctivr mark.

@Bexsy you’re right, I just think of a couple of them sometimes wonder if they were it, one in particular I met when we were 7. His parents moved him back to Ireland when we were 13, when we were 17 he told his family that he was going to marry me and moved back to Canada. We had an amazing reunion but then we lost touch. We lived in different cities and he didn’t have a phone. My brother ran into him at a party a year later and he asked for my number but my brother refused because he was clearly using drugs and my brother was very protective. I still looked in the phonebook every year to see if I could find his number. Fast forward to 2007, I search for him and find his 2 older brothers and sister in law on Facebook. I found out that not only had we ended up in the same city an hour from where we grew up and he was the GM at the grocery store I shopped at! But that 8 months before I moved out here he took his life. 😢
Sorry that was way longer than I meant it to be.
@FreeorLonely oh, sis. I'm sorry. Sounds like you two had a deep connection
