Let’s talk about reciprocity

Do your friends like you as much as you like them ?

Does your partner love you as much as you love them ?

Do you think it even matters as long as your needs are being met ?

first scenario

Person A likes you a lot less than you like them but every single one of your needs are being met and you feel more loved than you’ve ever felt before.

Second scenario

They love you MORE than you love them but they somehow can’t meet or understand your needs as well.

Which scenario do you think you’d be happier in ?

Reciprocity isn’t necessarily a goal, and there is no true 50/50....there’s always some discrepancy between how much each person cares for the other.
You’d be happier in the first scenario....at least until you find out that the other person doesn’t care so much for you (of course, sometimes that can change as well and you might possibly avoid that....I’ve seen it happen).
Having someone who loves you but can’t meet or understand your needs can be OK as long as you’re not depending on them to do that.
Neither scenario is great for a lasting romantic relationship.
