An Empty Soul
He walks with a smile, a mask he worn,
Jokes on his lips, but his soul feels torn.
He laughs, he cries, he yells at the sky
But deep inside, the feelings are dry.
A girl once danced in the halls of his mind,
Her voice, her warmth, once gentle, once kind.
Disappear, and with her, the colors all fled,
Now only echoes and silence tread.
He felt it then, like a leak in a jar,
Emotions dripping, so far.
Each feelings, and none of them stay,
Each one fades, a little more each day.
He’s seen too much, felt too deep,
Watched dreams fall, and promises sleep.
Every touch now feels like glass,
Every smile, just ghosts that pass.
And so he prays, alone at night,
For something real, a flicker of light.
Not riches, not fame, just someone true,
To fill this heart that’s split in two.
But as time moves on, and the void expands,
Like sand slipping through trembling hands.
They say, "Ignorance is bliss," with ease,
But knowledge bleeds, it doesn’t please.
He knows the game, the masks they wear,
How love can fade, how few truly care.
And still he kneels, with hope so small,
A whisper sent beyond it all,
"Oh God, I’m lonely, this pain won’t fade,
So send me someone, before I break.
Someone to heal, to understand,
To hold my heart with steady hands.
Oh God, I beg You, hear my plea.
Let someone stay, and stay with me.
And if that day ever comes, let it remain,
Till our last breath, through joy and pain.."
