I didn't like private messages because some people would be very into you and then ghost you, and it felt like a total waste of time

I think it's a terrible idea to invest oneself here.. Or online. Or maybe anywhere really.
Well depends with who, but for the most part isn't a good idea I think

It’s worth the risk, even if you get hurt.
There are some lovely people on here. And you learn about their experiences, how they cope, you become richer for that,

But the priorities of the real world might take over and you may lose them.
