I didn't like private messages because some people would be very into you and then ghost you, and it felt like a total waste of time

I think it's a terrible idea to invest oneself here.. Or online. Or maybe anywhere really.
Well depends with who, but for the most part isn't a good idea I think

I agree to an extent. Id rather click with someone and chat privately about whatever, and not have everyone weigh-in.

Hate the ghosting part, but I still roll the dice on that.

However, Id rather take a chance than to wonder (or something equally profound).

I hate wasting my time, or feeling like I have. Its a hazard.
