@ImpeccablyImperfect that is so cool, what a fascinating job. You must have done great stories!.

@samueltyler2 well, I’m not sure about great stories per se… But I definitely have some harrowing stories… There are some nasty drivers out here I tell you
But I have a great crew so that makes it a little bit easier to be away from home all the time

@ImpeccablyImperfect you need to share the stories, doing so might prevent an accident.

@samueltyler2 every story I could recite comes down to people being in such a hurry they ignore the flashing lights, the huge 8’ arrow boards all lit up, advising them to stay back and to wait….there has already been numerous times when our crash attenuator truck has been hit, and the offending driver just tears away, screaming at us and giving us the finger. One time, I swear to you this happened…the driver hit the crash truck, but that wasn’t enough. He then proceeded to back up and ram it again and again! 5 times in total!!!
Today, I had a school bus driver, A SCHOOL BUS DRIVER, screaming at me through her open window because we were holding up traffic. Screaming. Swearing. And she had kids in her bus!!!!!
I mean, come on….if we could paint the lines in ANY other way, we would!!! But we have to do it this way and yeah, sometimes that means people are going to be held up for a few minutes.
Really, it’s just a matter of taking a breath and being patient. We all need the lines on the roads, don’t we? This is for the greater good hahaha

@ImpeccablyImperfect is this more so recently? I feel everyone is more tense and angry, drivers more aggressive. I am older and perhaps more sensitive. What does upset me is the timing of road repairs sometimes. It seems as if the timing could be better and decrease the effect on traffic. Also there is often lane closure miles before the actual construction. That is so frustrating. None of that makes what you report sane or justified.
