Very much so. I've felt in all my relationships that I was expecting there to be a deep connection that never seemed to materialise. I've come to realise that it hasn't been the other person's fault, it's that I've had unrealistic expectations and that what I expected from relationships isn't what most people want. What it is that most people want and seem content to have, I don't understand.
@SeekingConnection I asked myself that same question and I don't think what I want is unrealistic .

@SpiritSkye Well, I didn't think my expectations were unreasonable or unrealistic, but experience suggests otherwise. I think a lot of people either don't have much depth to their personalities, or they feel threatened if you try to find out what really makes them tick.
