I know the 20th century was brutally violent, but I personally prefer it to the current one.

@Elessar Of course. Italy was ruined by the war, and its doesn’t get enough attention.

@Bumbles Well Japan got nuked twice and Germany split, over here relatively speaking it went well

@Elessar Yes, and those are much better known examples. You guys even changed sides but Germany used used Italy as a theater of war.

@Bumbles The country did, the people did not, for the most part; Mussolini was never too popular, I'd say around 30-40% at his peak (similarly to modern far right parties worldwide), registrations to his party ramped up just essentially because it had become sort of mandatory in order to exist in society, and every other party was banned. With time the majority that antagonized him became stronger and more willingly to fight back. But those who actually supported him never stopped, not even after his defeat.
