I know the 20th century was brutally violent, but I personally prefer it to the current one.

I'm in your camp. The wars were horrendous but at least the facts were straight. Most of the time, anyway.
And humanity didn't put all it's eggs in a basket that will crumble into chaos if the plug gets pulled.
