A sensitive question

I deal with a lot of suic**** tendencies. Well that's how f*cked up my head is. But it's because I feel it's the easiest way out of the pain. I'm battling the thought everyday. Somedays easier while some make it hard for me.

So my question is this actually. How would you deal with a coworker who talks about this at work as a joke. For instance if shit gets hard, she will state she wants to do it. I can sense she's fooling around. She'll be like I'll do it and my husband will suffer with the kids.

But why would a person make jokes on a subject like that?

It's annoying and I get pissed off. Idk why do people consider this a joke in the first place. Is it normal or am I overthinking this?

I don’t think it’s a joke I just think she’s playing it off as a joke. People use humor as a coping mechanism.

especially considering the things she says following it

@DeluxedEdition I understand.

Like honestly I wouldn't encourage anyone else to talk like this. Usually I pull people out of that and try to give them a reason to carry on.

To make a "joke" like that makes me feel sick to the stomach stating she'd leave her kids without a mom or somedays she'll actually state she wants to jump off the window or "casually" push me off.

I try to keep my distance from her tbh.

@DeluxedEdition I will.

She is a weird person and very hard to deal with. I will be vocal with my opinion the next time with her.
